120 VAC Appliances are the RV appliances that operate 120 volt
(household) power. This power is usually supplied from the
campground external power pedestal, but can also be created from a 120
VAC generator. These appliance include (but not limited to) air
conditioning, microwave, 12 VDC power converter, refrigerator (when
running on AC), water heater (when running on AC), and electric
heater. In the context of this discussion, 120 VAC appliances are
hard wired to the circuit breaker panel and do not incude any protable
appliances that can be pluged into a household outlet. It is
generally not
recommended to run the appliances listed above from an inverter, and
cannot be done in my RV installation.
