PullRite 5th Wheel Hitches
My SuperRail and Hitch Installation Slide Show

Because of the hydro-formed frame used on the 3rd generation (2003 and later) RAM trucks, Dodge recommends a no-drill 5th wheel hitch installations on their trucks.  After some research of the available 5th wheel hitch options, I narrowed my choices to two options.

The first is the B&W Turnover Ball Gooseneck Hitch with Companion 5th Wheel Hitch.  The B&W system installs a gooseneck hitch frame to the underside of the truck bed without drilling the truck frame.  The only part of the hitch visible above the box is the gooseneck ball, which can be removed or inverted, leaving a clean truck bed.  The high quality B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch attaches to the gooseneck ball.  Reports from owners of the B&W system are very positive, but since I never tow a gooseneck trailer, this solution seemed like the wrong approach for me.

With the advice of TDR and irv2.com forum members, I looked into the PullRite 5th wheel hitch system.  The PullRite products appear to be very high quality, precision made components.  PullRite has done their homework on these hitches, providing three methods of attaching the hitch rails to the truck.  The first, and least expensive, is a set of simple universal "L" brackets, which attach the rails in a conventional way.  The permanently mounted hitch rails are bolted to the "L" brackets through the truck bed.
The second option is the PullRite SuperBrackets, which are custom designed for each model truck, and are attached to the truck frame using existing holes in the frame, allowing for a no-drill installation per Dodge's recommendations.  The permanently mounted hitch rails are bolted to the SuperBrackets through the truck bed.
The third mounting option are the PullRite SuperRails, which attach the SuperBrackets with four posts, and can be removed from the truck without tools when the hitch is not in use, leaving a clean bed.  The design of this solution appealed to me as the best solution for a high quality "clean bed" 5th wheel hitch installation.
